Well, not only has a re-vamped version of Final Fantasy been produced for the PSP but Final Fantasy II has as well.
I pre-ordered FFII for PSP well before it even came out and have had it now for about a month or so. The cellophane wrapping is still on the game and I haven't even opened it. I have been too busy to play it...hence the cellophane. If I opened it, no one here would see me for days and the NintendoNerds.com website would be neglected.
Anyway, I can't wait to sink my teeth into the cellophane wrapper to unveil this remade FF title for the PSP.

It's a re-make of the Final Fantasy II (US) version from the SNES.

Sorry, Tails I don't understand what you are talking about. Did you read the Wikipedia article that I posted above that explained the history for the Final Fantasy series? Would someone else help me explain this to Tails?

That's incorrect Tails. The Wikipedia article states that Final Fantasy II & III were released for the Famicom, not Final Fantasy V. Final Fantasy V was released for the Super Famicom. NES = Famicom SNES = Super Famicom The Final Fantasy series is one that's tends to get very confusing because of all the different versions, and gaming systems these titles have been released for. Also because some of them were not released in the US, but in Japan...and vice versa. At any rate...I fired the PSP up last night and started to play this game. I pretty much stopped playing my PSP altogether after I beat Final Fantasy, which is a glorified re-release of the original Final Fantasy (NES). Since, Final Fantasy II (SNES) is my favorite game of all time I am now playing it on the PSP to see what it's like. After only playing it for an hour so far, I can think of at least 10 pros and 10 cons about the game. All in all it seems to be a pretty fantastic game I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys RPG's and has a PSP!!
