For those of you who have played this game, what are your thoughts on the wheel? Do you prefer using it?
I first played Mario Kart with a Gamecube controller because that was what I was used to, but the other day I decided to try out the wheel. Boy, it sure is hard to get used to. You turn the wheel and that's the direction your player goes. Sometimes I couldn't judge how far to turn the wheel, and I would fall off the track. Eventually I got a little more used to it though. I think it makes the game a lot more fun to play with friends when you're all using the wheel, because then you're all just sitting there turning your wheels everywhere.

true, but its awkward to do tricks with the gc controller. I like the wheel the best, but the only problem i have is sometimes it makes you drift the opposite way you want to go.

I was actually surprised at how well the Wii Wheel responded. I have used it 100% of the time. mignelli, you might want to adjust your sensor bar, it might help.

mmmmmmmm not really. Ive completely quit on the single player, im only on 100cc lightning cup. I quit because it is horrendosly boring, and useless. I have the one character I wanted to unlock, so Im set. I only play the game every once and a while online.
