Are they getting to complicated? When they first started out, in text form, you didn't know what to do and there was basically no help.
Then they improved to a graphics upgrade and you walked around and it was very simple. Final Fantasy, some could use magic some not.
Then in FF II you had a special attacks with each character. The same way with III but they added Espers which you had to keep track. Also you had relics to equip. They've seemed to get more and more complicated to understand and play.
What do you think about this?

As far as FF is concerned, I am unaware, as I have only played a few of them. For RPG's in general, however, I don't think complicity is an issue of time. Morrowind is rather old, and I find that to be pretty complicated, personally.
I love the simple RPG formula. The basic weapons and armor + some kind of special ability (magic, psynergy, badges, etc) + somewhat straightforward direction (town to town) + party members joining along the way.
