Metroid is in the top 10 list for all-time greatest NES games. I've never personally beat Metroid but have played it enough to know why it ranks among the best. And with a legend that keeps living on, there will be many more generations to come that feature the most feared space hunter known, Samus Aran.

I bought this game used and without a map this game is tedious. I didn't get the full funess out of the game.

The full glory of Metroid is not using a map. Its a game about exploration and you're suppose to get lost in its labyrinthine corridors.
This and Excitebike were the first two NES games I owned. This is also the game that caused me to become a die-hard adventure genre fan at the age of 8.

This is one of those games where I'm glad save states can now be used for it. I don't mind the password system. But you're not going to get it right every time, & you'll need to be able to continue every time you play. That's if you're in it to beat the game.
