Well, I've got an Xbox on loan for the next two years, and currently started playing an RPG called The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
Starting off the game you choose what race and class you want to be, you get some basic items, and then you are sent off into the world, and Galloping Goombas, what a enormous world it is! I felt completely overwhelmed by the amount of knowledge there is to know, whether it be on things you can do in the game or the basic storyline itself. I experimented for maybe an hour or so, trying to make friends with villagers, stealing what I could, buying a greater weapon, and trying my hand at different mini quests. This game is crazy, and I still cannot decide if I like it, if only for it's immenseness.
Has anyone else played this game?

I've heard of the game Grooms, but have not played it. I hear alot of great things about the game but most of my video game playing time is with Nintendo consoles and Nintendo handhelds. Post some screens if you get a chance. I am happy you are enjoying it.

Oh yeah I know this game. This is one of the best RPGs I've ever played. It's sequel is Oblivion(360 and ps3).
Grooms is right about the huge world in this game. That being said he's still got a lot to see. It's not just the giant world map but the dungeons and towns. One major city in the game is so massive it has fast travel boats in each section. It also has 3-4 floors per section. It may not sound huge but it really is.(Grooms this city is called Vivec, been there yet?)
To get an idea of the size of the map it would take probably a half hour or more to walk from one end to the other. It might be more.
I'll give you a couple tips to get started. Forgive me if mess up, it's been a couple years since I've played this. Fast travel to any town(not the small ones) that has guard towers. Inside are weapons and armor that you can steal. They aren't the best, actually they aren't even that good but at the start it helps a lot. Of course you have to be careful. Stealing is illegal but even being seen in certain parts of the towers will be a crime.
Always take any candles/torches/light sources you find. It will save you a lot of trouble in dark dungeons. Torches have no wieght if I remember right. Candles can be put in your house and they actually throw off light.
Try to sell everything you can get your hands on. In certain towns they have pawn shops which accept any goods. I think Balmora has one right near the fast travel spot.
Don't forget to check the towns sewers. They have lower level monsters and some treasure usually. Worth checking imo.
If you see a human(or orc, nord ect) with white eyes running really fast at you it's a vampire. Unless you wanna risk becoming one don't fight them yet. Not being able to travel in the daytime is a pain and the townspeople will hate you. Also I think the guards will attack on site.
Sorry if you don't need that info. If you have any questions I'll be happy to answer. Don't give up on this game too quickly, it's a great experience.

I first played morrowind for a bunch of hours but it was very overwhelming. then when the addon was released and it was summer vacation i played again, had some knowledge of the game already of course and was completely immersed. Must have played it 100+ hours that vacation, some days I would start in the morning and end in the evening with only breaks for toilet and food.
