This week's Game of the Week is Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) This game is VERY hard and does not give you much room for error...kind of like the first title for the NES. This is a side-scrolling platformer and requires a huge amount of patience and gameplay skill. If any of you guys are good at this game, I'd like to get some pointers from you.

I used to play this a lot. It is a hard game for sure. I think I got about half way through it before I gave up.
One piece of advice I can give you is avoid being hit at all costs. I know that's common sense but it matters a lot more in this kind of game. You can't do much when you're running around in your underwear.

This games makes me angry. I've only played a handful of times, but I can't clear the first level. It's a bit embarrassing, but I usually just get wiped out by the tidal wave.

Yeah this game comes down to timing imo. You gotta play it and practice where stuff is and how to avoid it. Even then it's brutal.

Right...the underwear armor just lets you know that your @$$ is grass if you get hit again...lol. Chris: Don't feel bad about not being able to get very far because I can't either. I haven't even made it to where the tidal wave is yet. This is such a frustrating game. It makes me want to break my controller!!

I played it, I started with 9 lives and still couldn't get past the first couple of enemies. It sounds like an enima would be easier.

Well, I've now made it to the first checkpoint. If you can, try to get the bow. It fires two arrows, and is perfect for taking down the guys who shoot fireballs at you.

I guess the hardest part for me is the jumping. Nine times out of ten, I either lose my clothes or die in mid-air. The fact that you are completely vulnerable, and "controll-less" while jumping makes things very difficult. I still haven't made it to the first checkpoint, but I am making progress.
