Have any of you guys ever played this for the Playstation 2? I bought this a while back got pretty far. Now I just race to collect credits. I have somewhere around 35,000,000 credits.

I own this game also, but I've become a bit bored with it.

I have become bored with it as well. I've pretty much beat all the levels, except for a few of them...that CHEAT!!! When I play now, I'll play through a few races but mostly I just use Director's Mode for the 24-hour Nurimburg Endurance race and use the Formula One Gran Turismo car. Using that car and setting the pace at steady ensures victory...especially with that car.
Speaking of cars...have you or anyone else here unlocked all 4 secret black cars? They are pretty awesome!!

It's nothing like GTA. Gran Turismo is essentially an ultra-realistic racing game featuring mostly real cars.

No...not at all. Tails...Google is a great tool for research...as well as Wikipedia. Just do a search for it to see what it's like. Also, just to give you a better idea, here's a clip from YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAvrOFORL1YBy the way...watching the video doesn't compare to actually playing. The video (s) just do not do any justice for what the game is actually like.

Pretty much, yes. You also have the ability to purchase upgrades for vehicles and compete in different style races such as endurance races (which are very long), and Rally races. It's pretty cool. You should try it sometime.

Not really. Crus'n USA is checkpoint to checkpoint, arcade style racing while dodging traffic. Gran Turismo is far more realistic.
