Has anyone had the opportunity to play this game yet? It was recently released and its the latest Wii game I have purchased. I played it earlier today and thought it was pretty cool. There are a slew of options and settings, which makes it interesting. Upon spending about 5 minutes on batting practice I played a full game. I royally got my butt kicked. The final score was 26-5. I want to get pretty good at this game, create my own league and players and have a strong team. I am not sure when I will do it, but that's what I will eventually do.

I rented it a few weeks ago, and I didn't care for it. It's just not my thing.

Hello MB and thanks for your input on this game. One thing I do not like about it that you cannot use the Wii-remote to swing the bat

wait you have to hit a button That's right tails. The wii-remote is useless for this game as far as using the motion sensors. Pretty crumby huh? It uses the Wii-remote and nunchuck configuration. You can also use a GameCube controller as well but even still, it's hard to get into this game especially after playing the baseball portion for Wii Sports where you actually swung.

No motion controls? That's disappointing. For most Wii games it has become almost a given.

That's correct, Ninjatiamat. Unless I was doing something wrong I couldn't get the motion control to function with the Wii remote. I really don't think it's possible with this game which is very disappointing given the fact that Wii Sports (Baseball) incorporated motion functionality.
