The Legend of Zelda Review by Classic Gamer
The Legend of Zelda is a game in which you traverse an overworld that has 9 levels hidden within. You can find items, shops, gambling rooms, secrets, and container hearts. Also some rooms that fine you are within just to keep you on your toes.
Also there are two games in one. If you beat the first quest, you'll go right on to the second. You can begin the second quest by naming your character zelda.
For the first quest, the instruction book is a big help. It gives you tips, level locales, etc. It also includes a map of the overworld.
Each level or dungeon has a seperate map. This looks like an animal in the first quest except for level 9. Most levels have a treasure that you will need in the future. Some levels have secret passsages too.
In each level there is a boss enemy that sometimes has a certain weakness. This weakness is told to you in one of the rooms of the level. Also some of the difficult to find levels are hinted at in the previvous level. Also there is one hint in level 8 that I have yet to figure out. "10TH enemy has the bomb."
In the second quest, however is a total different ball game. The levels have tougher enemies, and most are in different locales. Also most of the important items are moved. This really comes down to trial and error as only one level is given a clue to, and that level is proablly overlooked anyway.
This game has replay value too. If you get tired of a straight quest, you can try many different challenges. This makes the game never ending fun and wouldn't get boring.
The graphics are pretty good for an early 8 bit game. The music is good, but with only 3 themes it gets boring if you don't like the themes. The story is the same as the Mario games. Ganon kidnapped Zelda, and you got to save her. Just about no complaints for this game. It is a must have for any gamer. Your controls are excellent. You swing the sword with the A button, and use the B button for other items.
graphics: B+ sound: B story: B- challenge: A+ (although the game is easy some challenges are very very hard and with replay vaule it gets an A+) control: A fun: A+ overall: A+
This walkthrough isn't that in depth as I didn't want to give anything away about the game.

There has been a slight change to the reviews process. From now on, all reviews should be shown to me prior to submission. Just PM the reviews to me. NN has made me Lead Reviewer. I will check the reviews for accuracy and quality. I will also proofread them. If I don't have time to do it, I will forward it to NN. Essentially, you should have feedback about your reviews in about a day at most. I don't expect you guys to write the super in-depth reviews that I do, but just make sure that it is written so that somebody who has never played the game before understands what it is like. If any of you need help writing a review, I am more than happy to help.
