I'd thought I'd post this here as I go through the game. Let me start out on my party. I decided on 2 soilders and 1 pilgrim with the Hero. I named my people after people from this board.
Hero - Trent Soilder - N. Nerds Soilder - Dudebro Pilgrim - N. Tiamt (sorry ran out of letters)
Anyways I'll update my progress on this board.

I'll start doing that. The first bit won't have screenshots, but I haven't done anything major except just building my party and leveled up. Haven't found any landmarks. OK First let me put up the screenshots, and I'll refer to them later. Anyways, my 4 member party is all at level 6, except for the hero. I saved up gold and built experince until I had a Copper Sword, Leather Armor, and the Leather Shield for everyboy. Some weapons or amor were already equipped, so it didn't take as long as one may think. Kinda boring reading about leveling up, but that's part of the joy of nes rpgs In my previous playings, the cave that's right near the castle town is small per se, but it connects to the tower. You can see a bit of the tower in figure 3. Figure 1 and Figure 2 are hints to what I shall do next. Figure 3 is where I shall go. Addition: I went through the cave and tower, and then I got the key. See pictures 4 and 5. I don't have many pictures of the duengon, I want to spoil this as little as possibile. I got posioned twice, but that didn't stop me from continuning my quest for the Thief's Key. I got some other treasures, but those were just small amounts of gold and items like the medical herb. Next, I go to a town northwest of Alihan to learn my next part of the game

I wanted to be a goof off. Can I be a sage next? It's cool to have a mage with a soldiers build. Raising one from a Goof Off has less survivability. Just wondering. Btw you spelled Soldier wrong.

The stats are starting to look very nice. I would have liked to see a screenshot of the Kandar battle because I don't remember what he looks like. Anyway, things are looking really, really good.

Sorry, I don't have a screenshot of Kandar. I'll have another chance lol. Edit for today's DW playing. Today saw my journey through the town of Assram (wonder how this made it past censors in these days) anyways there are 2 weapon/armor shops here. One which is open in the daytime, it starts out charging 16x normal price, but you can haggle him down to 2x the price. However, he is the only person that sells the Iron Helmet. I bought 4 of those after I got the latest weapons (battle axes) from a shop that was only open at night.. See figures 1 and 2. Picture 3 tells me I need to go west to Isis. Once reaching Isis, It's ruled by a queen. Isis is seen in the second group of 3. I learn that I can get a magic key in the pyramid to the north. Overall I go nortth to get the said key. I get the key and enough gold to buy 3 full plate armors for my soldiers and hero. Also I got a pair of Giant Shears. Going north into the pyramid I see several booby trapped chests, booby traps, and the room where the key is in, I have to push 2 buttons in a paticular order. One floor you can't use spells. The 2 pictures on the bottom row show inside the pyramid. I need to go back in the pyramid to open doors that are locked by the magic key and save gold to get another pair of shears. Then on to the next part of the game.

Okay a lot of twists and turns First I go to Lancel and buy an Invisibilty Herb, then head to Eginbear. I have to use the invisibility herbs to get in. Figure 1. In figure 2, I have to solve a mini puzzle in order to get the Vase of Drought, Figure 3 shows where I use it to get the Final Key, that's in Figure 4. Figure 7 is a tower where I get a special item that echoes a flute noise if I'm in a room with a Or. Hence it's called the Echoing Flute. Figures 6,8, and 9 are either me getting one of the six orbs or telling me where to go. I have 4 orbs already. I'm not giving any info on these except what's in the picture. I find a deserted town, sorta like Haukness from DW I, but without enemies or the like. There is 1 guy who says he wants to build a town, he just needs a merchant. I go back to the eatery, and leave behind my Sage for a bit, Name a merchant Tails, and then head back. I drop off the merchant, go back and pick up my wizard. Now I head to Sonteem where I bought 2 Dragon Killers for my soliders, magic armor for my sage, and 1 silver shield for one soldier.

I'm going to leave the item names out of the description to provide even less spoilers also I'm not going to tell locations. Ok a lot done today. The last 2 orbs were the most difficult to get. The first one I had to go through a huge dungeon southeast of town to get a mirror of ra. This unmasked the fake king and once I got back to town and used it. A boss fight ensued. [sarcasm alert]What a hard boss [/sarcasm alert]300 HP. Next, I went back to the mercahnt town that formed. The townsfolk overturned the merchant and put him in jail. I went talked to him, and he told me where the orb was. I unlocked the jail door with the Final Key for fun and he just stays there. oh well. On to the last orb. I go to a place and get an item that tells me where a sunken ship is. I go to the sunken ship and get an item , this unlocks a portion of the map that enables me to get a sword that opens up more. I head to a black hole with water blocking my way. I throw the sword in the hole and it opens up a path. I head to a dunengon, complete it and get the last orb. I head to offer the orbs. I then get a bird like creature, sorta like an airship or the hot air balloon from the fourth DW. I then go to a castle and fight a boss. I wasn't able to beat the boss before 12:00 AM EST

Great job, ClassicGamer!! I really enjoyed this journal you kept as you progressed through the game. The screenshots brought back some great moments What's next? Are you going to level up the characters? Play a new game?
