I just remembered seeing this in my Wii Operations Manual: There seems to be an Animal Crossing letter in the Wii Message Board. Could this be a clue for a future AC game for the Wii?

Wow, thanks for the link Powerfullove. It looks like it's going to be pretty cool...and should be out toward the end of this year.

Wi-Fi, (Hopefully as good as Mario kart Wii's) the option to make your AC character resemble a Mii (Looks dumb, but I guess SOME people will like it), and that can be done in the all new City feature, in which you ride a bus out of town into the city, where you can find things such as Harriets Hair Salon, an auction house run by Lloyd the Gyroid, a movie theater for meeting and talking to people like Dr. Shrunk, and Gracie's fashion store, and an HRA house ran by Lyle that allows you to check up on the progress of friends or something.
You can also connect your DS to your Wii to import your DS character to City Folk.

My roommate bought his today. I watched him start, and it brought back memories to the Gamecube game. I'll probably buy one for myself soon enough.
With all the new features, it looks like it will be just as fun as the original. ;D

The last I heard about Animal Crossing, it had a password that made the password to the second GI Joe game for NES seem like a pin #

The last I heard about Animal Crossing, it had a password that made the password to the second GI Joe game for NES seem like a pin # Quite right. The Gamecube version had a code system where you could send gifts to your friends. Tom Nook would give you a code which you would then give to your friend, who would go to the Tom Nook in his/her village to tell him the code and receive the gift. The codes look like this: vCTbFPFQciYmWC Zk&TnDUgljJ&jb
